The Salem-South Lyon District Libraries is funded through the property taxes of the city of South Lyon, Salem Township, and through a special contract with Green Oak and Northfield Townships currently a $130.00 per family per year non-resident fee for residents of Lyon Township to use the Salem-South Lyon District Library.
