The entire route for the 10K and 5K is downhill! (Except for the uphill parts!)
The Storytime Challenge will take place on the track at Millennium Middle School. You can count your participants laps as they go around the track. At the 15 minute mark, the start line turns into the finish line. Once the finish horn goes off, any athlete that crosses the line is finished, and will be given their award. If you cross the line before the horn goes off, you can finish your lap!
Parents or caregivers are allowed on the track with their athlete, if desired. But, no carrying, dragging, or pushing allowed! OK…you can, but only if absolutely necessary! For our younger participants, strollers are welcome, but please stay to the outside of the track.
Hint from the Race Director: Run on the inside lane of the track as much as you can… I think it’s shorter that way! That’s what I’d do anyway!
Baby strollers, baby joggers, and the like are allowed provided you line up in the back and keep a safe distance from other runners while on the course. Pursuant to the Race Director, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skaters, roller skates, scooters, and any other wheeled apparatuses except wheelchairs and baby joggers are not allowed on the course. Violators will be removed from the course at the Race Director’s discretion. Dogs on a leash are welcome on the course.
